Recognizing our Patrol Team
We’ve said many times these last few weeks that the safety and well-being of our guests is our top priority. Without this crew, our patrol team, that wouldn’t be possible. In early March we landed a Care Flight in the parking lot at Boreal, but this time for the best reason. The Care Flight pilot, someone we’ve seen a few times this season, stepped out of “the bird” to present our crew with the Golden Rotor Award, an honor extended in recognition of lifesaving practices and patient care considered above and beyond the normal emergency response.
"...after observing the team work and quality of the CPR that was being done, I concluded that getting involved would hamper the incredible resuscitation that was being performed... Your staff maintained a high quality resuscitation for probably close to 30 minutes...the odds of survival from an OHCA being done by Basic Life Support folks (CPR and AED only) for that long are very slim. I am happy to report that the last follow up I received on the patient was very positive, it looks like the patient is on the road to a full recovery. While the Fire Department paramedics and Care Flight Critical Care team were very important pieces of the puzzle with helping this gentleman survive, the fact remains that without your staff this man would not be alive today. I can unequivocally state that your staff saved this man's life. Period." -- CareFlight
We are proud to call this team ours and couldn't be more appreciative of their hard work and dedication.
