The 2017-18 Season was a doozy! From Pop-Up Parks to Boreal Bingo. From opening day to Miracle March. Lissie came and sang some tunes, and we opened the skatebowl too!
That is why from all of us here at Boreal Mountain California, we thank you for an amazing season and look forward to seeing you next year!
The 2018 TSRW made for an all around rad weekend. In honor of Tom and his legacy this grass roots celebration united the legends of the sport with the boards of their time in the place it all started. The first ever half pipe competition was held here at Soda Springs 35 years ago in 1983.
Boreal Mountain Resort and Woodward Tahoe have decided to extend the season one more week! Closing Date: April 22nd
PASSHOLDER APPRECIATION WEEK
Boreal Mountain Resort and Woodward Tahoe would like to thank our partners at the Burton Chill Program. It was and honor and so much fun to work with them this season! It was awesome getting to know the program and to get our youth stoked on the sport and lifestyle that we love so much.
There was nothing more rewarding than hearing the participants on their final day share their stories of achievement, friendships and gratitude. We couldn’t be more proud of their accomplishments and we are looking forward to continuing our partnership with Chill.
It was a St Paddy's Day to remember at Woodward Tahoe this year! The 2nd Annual Clover Cup took place on Saturday, March 17th, allowing competitors in scooter, BMX, and skate to compete in our indoor skate park.
Athletes of all ages came out to compete and impress the judges to hopefully come out on top.
The St Paddy's Day vibes were high and participants from all sports cheered each other on and encouraged progression. We couldn’t have asked for more positivity and we thank you all who partook!
Miracle March has made a return to Tahoe with another 3 feet of snow this week. These are the best conditions Tahoe has seen this season! Buy your tickets online and save up to 75%! Shot 100% on #gopro #hero6 with the #karmagrip @gopro Video: @kyledgreene
Last Saturday was one for the books. We had over 100 skiers, riders, snowskaters and sit-skiers come out to battle for First Place! All registration fees were donated to the High Fives Foundation and because of YOU, we were able to write a check for over $3,000!
DJ Slipmatt kept the vibes high on the snowy course and Funk Assassination kept the apres feel going at the Boreal Bar before and after awards.
See below for results and the recap video!
Something spectacular happened at Boreal on March 3rd. A few things coincided with this date that really made it a standout for the 2018 season. What’s insane is that the build up for such a special day began in the early summer of 2017. Nial Romanek had a dream about a snowboard park that was designed in its entirety for doing butters.
The Banked Slalom is Back!
The biggest event in snowboarding is back for the 4th year…. Come join us for the 4th Annual Boreal Banked Slalom! This costume race benefits the High Fives Foundation and includes live music and a legendary après party. DJ Slipmatt will be DJing all day long, and we will have Funk Assassination on the deck!
